As a fluorescent strip light (rather than a compact UV), they are best fitted into a terrarium hood unit or canopy, encompassing the whole length of your reptile’s habitat, ensuring they receive UV all the time except when in their hide. These are recommended to be replaced every 6 months, in order to keep your reptile in the best health.
